Control systems implement a set of mechanical or electronic devices that regulate other devices or systems by way of control loops. Control systems are generally computerized, which means they could use a desktop PC. alternatively, MCUs have reached a level of sophistication that they step up to perform these tasks.

A control system may be a central part of production and distribution in many industries. Automation technology plays a big role in these systems.

Control systems can perform a simple, single task or they can be complex systems managing multiple tasks. The tasks can be independent of each other or interrelated.

## LDMICRO

LDMicro is an open-source application that enables the creation of ladder programs. The user selects the device from a selection of available PICs in the 16F family.
