# Introduction

The SIGNUM caters to the 64-pin TQFP devices in the PIC16Fxxx and PIC18Fxxx families. The PCB is designed to accommodate learning and development requirements for a wide range of applications.

The SIGNUM is better suited to more advanced users, owing to the features inherent in the devices offered with the ECHO. If you are a beginner, then a member of the [RADIX NANO Series](docId:7LA36xNDytpKqQVVucH8e) or the [RADIX - SEPIA](docId:50hNpBnESQMdlEhmBwKs7) may be a better start.

## Application Development

The 64-pin devices offer a wide variety of expansion options for your application. In line with a single device or low-density PCB population, the device, with additional I/O and integrated peripherals, enables more tasks to be handled by a single device.
