RADIX ADVANCE Specifications
The Radix Advance takes your development projects from the humble, yet effective 8-BIT to the more advanced PIC32A family. These new devices offer enhanced features over their 8-bit siblings.
The Radix Advance is currently in development, and the specifications listed below are preliminary and subject to change.
RADIX ADVANCE (VADO)
The RADIX ADVANCE family offers two devices from the PIC32A family. The PCBs are in the same form factor as the Radix Signum and Radix Echo. For a list of the specific features, see the topic: RADIX ADVANCE PCB Features๏ปฟ.
PIC32A Devices in the Range
The range of devices in the PIC32A family is listed below. Two devices have been chosen from the range to represent the family, and other devices in the family may be used on request.

For the purpose of evaluating the family, two devices have been selected. These two devices are representative of a 48 PIN and 64 PIN option, respectively.

PICKIT 4 / PICKIT 5
The PIC32A devices require a more recent programmer, and the PICKIT 4 or the more recent PICKIT 5 is required. If you have a PICKIT 4 available, the module will automatically do a firmware update when you use it.

Development Environment
MPLAB 6.25 or higher is required, and this supports the PICKIT 5. During the course of the installation, the PIC32 Compiler is installed during the installation.
