SCALAE - Automation Systems
SCALAE*, is a product line of automation products based on the PIC Microcontroller. The MCU is integrated with hardware to ensure that they can interact with an industrialized or outside-world application.
With the inclusion of a Ladder development environment, the SCALAE units can be integrated into standard or traditional industrial environments.

Actuate - System Expansion Modules
As your application expands, additional capabilities may be required not offered directly by SCALAE or ESCA. An actuate module extends capability by:
- Ruggedise the application
- Add analog capability when needed
- Improve sensory capabilities
- Improve communications capability
An Actuate module, would not normally have an MCU or intelligent control. If it does, it would be there to serve a specific function and not be reprogrammable, unless a software update were required.
