RADIX - NANO 20
The RADIX NANO 20 caters specifically to the 20 PIN devices. These devices are available in various packages and are ideally suited to single-purpose applications or monitoring a specific element.
While a small pin package type device, the architecture of these devices is sophisticated enabling them to be used in a wide variety of modern applications for example IoT.
The RADIX Nano 20 B (DIP Package) can be used to host an 8PIN or a 14PIN device.

Shown above are the two line art diagrams showing the two versions of the PCB. They are identical offering the same features, with the exception being that the "B" variant is for the DIP packages. Using the B variant enables you to swap out the device.
When purchasing the Radix Nano B, ensure to select the correct device or the Nano 20 B will be supplied with no device.

The Radix PCBs can be powered by either the USB port or through the DC Power header.
When using the Nano with the USB port, the PCB is powered directly from the device powering the PCB. The nominal USB voltage is ~5v0.
When using the DC Header, the input voltage should not exceed 7v0, and the LD1117 a low drop-out regulator will regulate the voltage at ~5v0. The regulator is rated for 850mA which is sufficient for most applications.
External modules for example a GSM modem may require an instantaneous current of approximately 2 Amperes. If such a module is used, ensure that an additional external DC power supply is available.

The device is programmed using the integrated ICSP header. The device is flashed with a hex file generated by a compiler using a PICKIT programmer.
Bootloading the device is possible, see the following section: Programming the Device๏ปฟ๏ปฟ
The USB UART enables the Nano to be connected directly to a desktop PC and the USB comms are converted to be compatible with the RS232 or UART Peripheral.
All headers are tracked from the edge of the PCB to the device, and the PINS are individually labeled for easy identification.
The Radix Nano 20 A or B offers a versatile and effective PIC development board. To enhance the development capabilities for your project include additional modules, sensors, or other external peripherals.
