RADIX
The RADIX range of development boards caters to the 16F and 18F families of devices manufactured by Microchip.
HavenTechnik's PCBs are supplied in specific form factors to promote ease of use and ease of integration.
Since the PCBs are often used in one or small scale deployments, the development PCB has been designed with this in mind.
There are many devices available from Microchip, and these often have many similar specifications, and it can be challenging to differentiate between them. The question is often why one device family over another.
Unless you have a specific requirement for your project, it is recommended that a general-purpose device be used. If you are a regular PIC Microchip user, the PIC16F887 or PIC16F877A would be familiar. For more advanced users, the PIC18F45Kxxx family is recommended.
Owing to the development of devices, the PIC16F18xxx family offers a unique feature in that they have used the same core, and it is available in devices from 14 PIN to 40/44 PIN. The advantage of using this family is that your code would be supported by the device family regardless of the PIN count.

NOTE - PIN count on the device is important as it can determine what the deviccanto connect to, and the interaction it has with the outside world or its target environment.
The product range leverages the cross-compatibility in PIN arrangement and location of the PIC16F and PIC18F families. This enables any device to be used on the same development boards. Not all devices are PIN compatible, and owing to this, the recommended range of devices has been tested and certified for use on the development boards.
The RADIX is available in different form factors, the NANO, DUO, and ECHO. The factors cater to specific PIN Count designations
